Our approach consists in setting up citizen research teams. These teams are made up of citizens, researchers, engineers, DIY mediators and the curious, who use their skills to achieve a common goal :

Create a citizen science programme.

In these teams, citizens work hand in hand with researchers and citizen laboratories such as « fablabs » to transform a research problem into a participatory science programme. Once the problem has been defined, the teams develop a measurement protocol suitable for use by citizens and develop the appropriate measurement or sampling instruments. These kits containing protocol, measuring tools and documentation are then distributed to yachtsmen during sailing expeditions.
